Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

We listen to young people, respect their views and take all concerns seriously.

Who This Applies To

This safeguarding policy applies to all Raising Her Game Trustees, employees, contractors, ambassadors and volunteers

How We Keep Young People Safe - Raising Her Game:

  • Appoints a trained Welfare Officer whose details are shared with participants and families

  • Uses DBS and Enhanced DBS checks

  • Ensures all coaches and staff working with young people complete safeguarding training

  • Follows clear reporting and recording procedures

  • Provides safe, inclusive and supportive environments

  • Carries out risk assessments for facilities & activities

  • Manages changing facilities safely, with supervision

  • Reviews safeguarding policies at least every two years

Reporting a Concern: Record what you have seen or heard, including dates and times if you can.

  • Immediate danger or medical emergency: Call 999 and state there is a child protection concern.

  • Non-emergency concerns: Report to the Welfare Officer as soon as possible - Julia Oldham - Juliaoldham@me.com
